Product Description
The online gallery of the architects Studio KO collaborates with artisans to create unique pieces such as candle holders, ceramic pots, and other handcrafted items. Through their work with these talented artisans—individuals who create by hand—they wanted to pay tribute to the artisans themselves. To honor crafts, we decided to create a Unique Tablecloth showcasing the workers of the hands. We have asked a Mallorcan artist, Cecilia Forteza, to draw the characters. The whole scene is hand embroidered onto XIXth century castle bed linen. It is a celebration of various artisans, such as a ceramist, a glassblower, a candle maker, a flamenco dancer, and a gardener. Each artisan’s craft is thoughtfully represented in the design, paying homage to the hands that shape these beautiful creations. The 12 napkins celebrate the 12 characters. We linked them to a specific accessory, symbolizing the connection between the artisan and their work. The napkins are XIXth century napkins, usually featuring a monogram of the previous owners embroidered in the middle of the square. On these napkins, you will find elements like a gun, feathers, a record, and a cap, each symbolizing the connection to specific crafts and artisans.
