Where do we come from?

Our 19th-century shirts are sourced from Cinq-Mars-la-Pile, a small village in Touraine, France, and are used as blank canvases for intricate handmade embroideries, inspired by the concept of travel.

Alexandra Senes

Former journalist, globe-trotter, and creative director, Alexandra Senes, does not identify herself as merely a fashion designer, but rather as a pilot driven by the desire to uncover unique stories, craftsmanship, and locations.

Her twenty-year journey in the fashion industry perfectly mirrors Kilometre Paris' fascination with authentic experiences and sustainability.

GOOD STORIES DESERVE TO BE TOLD

The story of Kilometre Paris began when Alexandra stumbled upon a stock of XIXth century shirts called 'Piece Unique' at a flea market.

Intrigued by the quantity being sold, Alexandra inquired about their origin. She learned that these 'Piece Unique' were once part of a film decor collection owned by a devoted husband who worked in the film industry. The lady selling them simply wished to dispose of them, while Alexandra harbored the desire to craft a narrative of travel.

With a passion for travel, heritage, culture, and craftsmanship, Alexandra embarked on a mission to recount tales of places through embroidery and the skilled hands of craftsmen worldwide. From this simple yet profound idea of sharing her love for travel and craftsmanship, Kilometre Paris was born.

Each piece narrates a unique story, crafted meticulously from start to finish. Every stitch, pleat, dye, and thread is carefully handled by talented artisans across the globe, spanning from Mexico and Morocco to India. This deliberate, unhurried process ensures the distinctiveness of each creation.
