At Kilometre Paris, each piece seeks to tell a story of travel through Couture & Embroidery. With our ‘Caravans', we invite you to join us on our worldly travels and experience unique events in which fashion meets storytelling.

Through our stops around the world, we shine lights on each of our 'muses': those exceptional individuals who inspire us with their passions and their individuality. These encounters offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in a universe where each garment, crafted with care & detail, represents a journey, an enriching experience which we hope to share.

Under the direction of Alexandra Senes and with the eyes of talented photographers such as Sarah Forgie, Bennu Gerede & Julie Ansiau, we've documented these exchanges, offering an intimate & authentic way of celebrating at our creations. This First edition of Caravan takes place in Melbourne, with 13 inspiring muses, each of whom enrich our adventure. Join us for an experience wherein fashion and creativity offer to take you on the journey of a lifetime.

We at Kilometre Paris would like to present our muse: Makuna Tavberidze. Like many of us, Makuna enjoys and often seeks out the joy in the little moments of life. Makuna's latest project, as well as her next project, is simply to keep answering the question: "What have you done today?". Every day feels like a project to Makuna, and she is in search of nothing more than work which feels meaningful to her. Armed only with the urge to feel ever-connected to the world around her, as well as the other people within it, much of Makuna's free time is dedicated to introversion and self-reflection; however, don't mistake this for her being insular or myopic, as she also enjoys scaling mountains, and activity which offers its own sort of therapeutic comfort. This introspection and contemplative nature are aspects, the virtues of which, we wish to espouse throughout our Caravan project.

We at Kilometre Paris would like to present our muse: Elene Abashidze. This parent, curator, writer, and all-around art & freedom of expression enthusiast has bolstered the Tbilissi art world by working with and promoting local artists & their art. Elene just recently worked with Que Meparishvili (a Tbilissi-based artist) and Hussein Shikha (an Antwerp-based Iraqi artist) on their duo exhibition in which they discuss and disect their cultural similarities. Given that every writer is invariably also a lover of reading, Elene is now also working on a publication of 20th century poetry from a selection of female Georgian poets. Elene's seemingly boundless passion for inter-cultural cooperation, and for the promotion of local art are some of the reasons why this scintillating woman just had to be included amongst our Caravan muses.

We at Kilometre Paris would like to introduce you to our muse: Tami Bamovi. Tami, like many of us, eternally yearns to form meaningful connections with others. Hellbent on contributing positively to the world, and to her community, she has developed a loyalty program app aimed at improving the general shopping experience of Georgian retail customers. Aside from this, Tami is also looking ahead towards a hopefully impactful education program which will be a benefit to everyone. Her determination and passion for all things mutually beneficial, and beautiful are the exact reasons why she just had to be a part of Caravan.

We at Kilometre Paris would like to introduce you to our muse: Mamuka Tsetskhladze. Though an avid traveller, with a firm belief that everywhere in the world is beautiful and worthy of visiting, Mamuka has not dedicated himself to travel; instead, he has chosen to travel the world through his paintings. Mamuka's last project was the views of the Caucases from Saguramo village, and he's still in search of his next adventure. Mamuka enjoys reading, watching movies, listening to music, and riding his bike; a bike which, from the sounds of it, is as much a part of his identity as his paintbrush. Though content with staying in Tbilissi, Mamuka has never slowed down and insists on riding his bike on the highway. His creativity, artistry, and general “laissez faire” attitude are the main reasons why he simply had to be a part of Caravan.

We at Kilometre Paris would like to present our muse Luka Tsetskhladz. Luka is a free-spirited artist who thrives on balance. Describing himself as happy, self-sufficient, and a lover of exploration, Luka is equally at home in the studio as he is on the open road, riding his bike. He embraces the ebb and flow of life, balancing work, rest, and play in a way that keeps him grounded and energized. Recently, Luka wrapped up a residency in Bahrain, where he had the opportunity to create several new pieces. Looking forward, he’s already planning his next project — a small personal exhibition abroad. Outside of his artistic pursuits, he’s dedicated to improving his physical and mental health. He’s an avid reader of nonfiction, a lover of music who plays the guitar and sings, and someone who knows how to enjoy life in all its forms — whether it's dancing at a nightclub or indulging in the quiet satisfaction of cooking a meal. He’s also skilled with his hands, welding steel constructions and working with wood. But it’s the simple pleasures of life that ground him the most. To him, the best place is wherever he feels peace, love, and mutual respect. It’s about finding that inner lightness and sense of hope, no matter where he is. For Luka, home is not a place but a feeling — one that can be found as long as he’s in tune with his own sense of balance.

We at Kilometre Paris would like to introduce you to our muse: Lia Shvelidze. Lia is a self-described "artist of peace". In lieu of having dreams, Lia has, and makes, plans. Astoundingly, this apparent rigidity has not killed her whimsical side however as she does still think of living amongst the stars one day. In a way, she does already, but I suppose she wants to get as close as she can. Lia's last project was "My Unknown Sisters", which is an upcoming project in which she is in search of a new aesthetic. Fascinated by the rapid progress & technical achievements of mankind, Lia spends much of her free time merely observing in quiet contemplation. This contemplative side, coupled with her almost oxymoronic whimsy and practicality are what makes her a perfect muse for Caravan.

We at Kilometre Paris would like to introduce you to our muse: Tatuka Japaridze. Tatuka is an ever- burning creative soul, one who strives to, each and every day, follow her passions and avail herself of the only true freedom available to all humans: self-expression. Tatuka is committed to the idea that, while it is important to keep local traditions alive, one should not shut themselves off from the world, and that travel truly broadens the mind and further enhances one's bond to one's own culture. Tatuka's last project was a small private garden on the outskirts of Tbilissi, a garden which she designed to reflect a style which is entirely her own. Tatuka's next project will be to work on a grand garden with a breathtaking view. A project which, will larger in scale, will undoubtedly convey the same passion and sense of comfort which her last project achieved. Thriving off of discovering the stories and experiences of others, Tatuka has committed herself to preserving and celebrating Georgian culture, especially through art and design. Her dedication, coupled with her artistic eye and earnest love for all things Georgian, are what made her a perfect choice to be a part of our Caravan project.

We at Kilometre Paris would like to present our muse, Nino Chubinishvili. Nino is a woman, an artist, and a human being, but most importantly, she describes herself as a "citizen of the universe”. Every role she takes on creates space for another, and with each shift, she evolves. Though the world may be in strange times, Nino remains anchored in her own personal vision, navigating it with the mindset that even the struggles and failures are part of the dream she’s living. Life is about following her own path — a path that's uniquely hers. Her last project was a deeply personal one: a 63-page handcrafted book begun at the end of the Soviet Union. It was a letter to her daughter, and when it was finally printed, her daughter was 32 years old. Looking ahead, Nino is now focused on bringing her dream of a creative space to life — Blue Chubika, a luxury shop that will blend the aesthetic of a gallery with the precision of a designer's touch. It’s a project that reflects her deep passion for interior design and craftsmanship. Making furniture and designing spaces — these are the things that ground her. She finds solace in the tactile, physical side of design, where materiality and intention converge. But it’s not just her art or design that fuels her. Nino is passionately tied to her roots, to the very essence of what it means to be Georgian. For her, being Georgian is a journey through the turbulence of the last 30 years — a mix of patience and constructive rebellion, of holding awareness without losing oneself to radical extremes. To Nino, Rome, Paris, and Jerusalem each have their own magic, but ultimately, Nino finds her truest happiness wherever she can be with her loved ones and her creations. Love and creation are her grounding forces, the frequencies where she feels most at home, wherever she may be.

We at Kilometre Paris would like to present our muse: Sofio Gongil. Sofio is a perennial dreamer, one who's love of nature and of that which lives in nature can only be matched by her love for tales with happy endings. Sofio's last collection was "Goddesses": a collection of goddesses symbolizing hope, hope for a world wherein their presence might guide the world to becoming a better, more peaceful place. Sofio derives great joy in redecorating her house and garden, as well as cooking. Through her jewellery, which is a revitalization of her country's ancient (12th century) Byzantine clouisonne enamel technique, Sofio seeks to bring ancient beauty into the modern world. An ever-proud Georgian, Sofio loves her home country; however, she's also come to love Zurich, the hometown of her grandaughter, as well as the favourite place of every hopelessly eternal artist: Paris. Sofio's hope for the future of the world, and for the future of humanity are what makes her just the kind of person we want to promote through Caravan.
