Our Dust Coat begins as handwoven natural indigo denim, patiently spun, dyed, and loomed by Ashis Chakroborty. It is then freely hand-embroidered by Bondana Lohar with appliqué and intuitive, Kantha-style stitches. This collaborative process - natural dyeing and instinctive embroidery gives each coat its unique voice and breathable comfort. It features a fluid, easy-moving silhouette, and subtle layered embroidery adds depth and personal narrative. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, shaped by Bondana Lohar’s rhythm and inspired by her world. More than a garment, it is a wearable collaboration from Shantiniketan.
