In collaboration with Fondation Art Couture and supported by l’Institut Français de la Mode, Face to Face Paris returns with their fourth pop-up event at the Hôtel Particulier de Sauroy in the heart of the Marais from December 9-10, featuring Kilometre.
Part artistic space, part collaborative event and part laboratory of ideas, Face to Face is more than an independent bazaar. Face to Face is an ephemeral boutique which gathers their selection of the 25 up-and-coming creators of the moment in fashion, beauty, jewelry and interior decoration for a two day event which facilitates conversations between designers and shoppers, a rare occurrence in today’s world of online consumerism and fast-fashion production.
In addition they will be hosting talks and demonstrations to let visitors experience first-hand what some of the featured designers do.
Founded by Marianna Szeib, Face to Face shines a spotlight on emerging designers who demonstrate a unique vision, sincere story, ethical business practices and fair pricing for the quality of their products. These are truly artisanal companies which Szeib believes fulfill a desire to go back to human, face-to-face focused shopping.
“I want to give people an authentic shopping experience with a direct line to the designers behind what they are buying,” said Szeib, who sets up shop in a new Parisian address each season for the event. “There aren’t really many products nowadays made by one single person.”
The free two day event will not only give visitors an opportunity to find unique Christmas gifts for those hard-to-please friends, but it will also give them the opportunity to shop more consciously and interact with a selection of Europe’s most creative, up-and-coming brands.
