In Mitte, right at the border of Prenzlauer Berg is a very small neighbourhood like a little village, enclosed between Torstrasse, Ackerstrasse and Bergstrasse. Monya says everybody knows each others here.
Good way to start the day : have an açai bowl at The Distrikt Coffee on Bergstrasse. Then explore that little neighbourhood where you can find amongst other things a great record shop, selling only vinyls, The Recordstore Berlin and what is said to be the best baguette in town, at Chez Sebastien, a boulangerie held by a French guy.
On Torstrasse you’ll find one of the most surprising flowershops, Brutto Gusto. From the outside, you wouldn’t even tell it is a flowershop, as you can mostly see the incredible artist’s vases they are selling. They have a very small selection of flowers, but each of them are very carefully selected. Monya bought a beautiful bunch of flowers as it was her boyfriend’s birthday. Before leaving the area, have a stroll through the small and poetic cemetery, right at the corner of Bergstrasse and Invalidenstrasse.
